How to upload PDF in Squarespace
Uploading PDF files to your Squarespace website can be a great way to share documents, forms, and other materials with your audience.
However, if you're new to Squarespace, you might not be sure how to upload PDF files to your site. In this post, we'll walk you through the steps to upload PDF files to your Squarespace website.
i) PDF Links in Navigation
If you offer freebies or just want your site users to view and download a PDF, you can add them in the navigation bar.
To add a PDF file in the navigation bar, click the + icon in the home page and choose the Link option as highlighted in the below image.
The Create a Link modal will open up, enter a title for the PDF and in the link field, click the Gear icon
In the Link Editor modal, click on the File option and click on Upload File button. Now, upload the desired PDF file from your system.
After uploading the PDF file, enable the checkbox and click Save.
The link of the PDF file will automatically gets inserted in the link field. Now, click Save.
The PDF link will get displayed in the nav bar. Click on this button will open up the pdf.
i) Open PDF on button click
If you want the users to view the PDF on clicking a button, then the following steps will help you.
Click the Edit(Pencil) icon of the button to which you want to add the pdf link. Click the Gear icon next to the link field.
The Link Editor modal will open. Here, click on the File option and click on the Upload File button. Now, upload the desired PDF file from your system.
Enable the checkbox next to the pdf. If you want the PDF to open in a new window on click, the enable the Open in New Window option. Click Save.
The link of the PDF will automatically gets inserted in the link field. Click Save.
That’s it. You have successfully uploaded and added pdf. So, whenever users click on the button, the PDF will open in the same tab or in the new window (if you have enabled this option) as shown in the below image.
